Advising and supporting foreign nationals in their efforts to obtain a residence permit in France is at the heart of the work carried out by La Cimade's 110 reception centres in mainland France and the French overseas territories. Cimade works in 8 detention centres to provide support to people held there and help them exercise their rights. It also provides assistance to people subjected to house arrest and expedited deportation measures.
