ACAS supports people living with HIV in the East and Southeast Asian communities by helping people overcome cultural, linguistic, stigma and resource barriers to health care. They provide referrals and translation services and accompany people on medical appointments. They also help with income, housing, legal matters, facilitate peer support and organise social activities.
Staff can provide support in the following languages: Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Japanese, Malay, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese, and linguistic support can also be obtained in Indonesian, Korean, and Laotian.
