We are not aware of any HIV-specific laws criminalising HIV non-disclosure, ‘exposure’, or transmission.
We are also not aware of any HIV prosecutions under general criminal laws.
UNAIDS reported in its Data 2024 report that there is no HIV criminalisation in Iran.
