Novgorodian deliberately infecting women with HIV infection is sentenced to 4 years in prison
A resident of Veliky Novgorod who deliberately infected three women with HIV, was sentenced to 4 years in prison, the press secretary of the Novgorod District Court Valery Tagansky told IA TASS.
“The court sentenced him to 4 years in penal colony under the Article on HIV transmission of the Criminal Code,” – he said, noting that previously the 32-year-old man was already convicted [under other articles].
According to the police, the man was aware of his HIV infection. He was warned about the criminal responsibility for the spread of the virus, but he did not tell about his disease to victims with whom he entered into an intimate relationship.
Two victims also have filed civil claims that the convicted should pay several hundred thousand rubles.
Житель Великого Новгорода, умышленно заразивший ВИЧ-инфекцией трех женщин, приговорен к 4 годам лишения свободы, сообщил корреспонденту ТАСС пресс-секретарь новгородского районного суда Валерий Таганский.
“Суд приговорил его к 4 годам колонии общего режима по статье “Заражение ВИЧ-инфекцией” УК РФ”, – сказал он, отметив, что ранее 32-летний мужчина был судим.
По данным полиции, мужчина знал о наличии у него ВИЧ- инфекции. Его предупредили об уголовной ответственности за распространение вируса, однако он не сказал о своем заболевании потерпевшим, с которыми вступал в интимную связь.
