Man accused of infecting woman with HIV appears in court
A man has appeared in front of a crown court judge charged with infecting a woman with HIV. The man, in his mid-20s from Cwmbwrla, Swansea, is also said to have infected her with Hepatitis B. The man appeared at a preliminary hearing before Judge Keith Thomas at Swansea Crown Court where he is pleading not guilty to a charge of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on the woman without intent. The case was adjourned ahead of another hearing on May 12. The defendant, represented by Patrick Griffiths, was granted bail.
