A man with HIV is suspected of having infected others knowingly
A man is being charged in Falun for deliberately having unprotected sex with several people, despite having had an untreated and therefore infectious HIV infection, local media reports.
The suspected crimes were committed several years ago in Dalarna and one person has been infected with HIV, which is why the man is being charged with aggravated assault and attempts at aggravated assault. The suspect denies the crime.
If an HIV infection is well-treated, there is no risk of infection through sexual contact, according to the Public Health Authority.
