HIV Positive, he did not tell his girlfriend and infected her: he risks 12 years in prison
He is accused of very serious injuries for having, in fact, infected his girlfriend with the HIV virus, which he knew he had been carrying for a decade. And the first investigations by the Mobile Squad of the Cremona Police Headquarters do not exclude that he may have also infected other women, even outside the province.
It is the incredible story of a 50-year-old worker from Cremona, denounced by his ex-girlfriend – a 48-year-old woman – after the latter discovered that she too was HIV positive. Because of her ex.
As reported by her lawyer, Alessandro Vezzoni, the woman has already received the sad confirmation from the doctors: she will have to undergo treatments and checks for life. The investigations on the ex-boyfriend, on the other hand, are coordinated by the prosecutor Milda Milla. The man, as mentioned, is accused of very serious injuries. Being in this case a willful crime, he would risk up to 12 years in prison.
The illness hidden for ten years emerged only at the end of February 2020, after a relationship lasting more than three years. On that occasion, the woman had accompanied him to the emergency room, following a car accident: observing the reports, she noticed the positivity of her partner to both HIV and hepatitis C. The relationship, inevitably, was abruptly interrupted : from subsequent medical investigations, the 48-year-old discovered she was HIV positive. Shortly after, the complaint was triggered. The 50-year-old in the first instance would have claimed to be positive only for a couple of years. But the patient’s clinical history, already reconstructed by the Police Headquarters, has instead revealed a HIV positivity for at least a decade.

E’ accusato di lesioni gravissime per aver, di fatto, infettato la sua fidanzata con il virus dell’Hiv, di cui sapeva di essere portatore ormai da un decennio. E i primi accertamenti della Squadra mobile della Questura di Cremona non escludono che possa aver contagiato anche altre donne, anche fuori provincia. Come riferito dal suo avvocato, Alessandro Vezzoni, la donna ha già ricevuto la triste conferma dai medici: dovrà sottoporsi a cure e controlli per tutta la vita. Le indagini sull’ex fidanzato, invece, sono coordinate dalla pm Milda Milla. L’uomo, come detto, è accusato di lesioni gravissime. Trattandosi in questo caso di un reato doloso, rischierebbe fino a 12 anni di carcere.
La malattia nascosta per dieci anni
La sua malattia è emersa solo sul finire del febbraio del 2020, dopo una relazione durata più di tre anni. In quell’occasione la donna l’aveva accompagnato al pronto soccorso, a seguito di un incidente stradale: osservando i referti si è accorta della positività del compagno sia all’Hiv che all’epatite C. Il rapporto, inevitabilmente, si è bruscamente interrotto: dai successivi approfondimenti medici la 48enne ha scoperto di essere positiva all’Hiv.
Tempo poco dopo è scatterà la denuncia. Il 50enne in prima battuta avrebbe affermato di essere positivo solo da un paio d’anni. Ma la storia clinica del paziente, già ricostruita dalla Questura, ha invece rivelato una positività all’Hiv lunga almeno un decennio.
