Policeman arrested for spreading HIV-AIDS

En una decisión sin precedentes en Córdoba, un juez en Monteria decidió asegurar en una cárcel para funcionarios públicos, al policía X, natural de Ayapel, pero adscrito a la Policía de Santander, porque presuntamente el uniformado desde el año 2012 propagó el VIH/SIDA a mujeres con las que sostuvo relaciones.
Compañeros de la misma institución debieron hacer efectiva la orden de captura en su contra emanada de la Fiscalía Seccional de Bucaramanga.
El juez respaldó la tesis de la Fiscalía de la mala intención del patrullero por guardar silenció ante sus parejas sentimentales, pese a conocer su diagnóstico. El delito de propagación de esa enfermedad puede dar entre 6 y 12 años de prisión.
Captured Police who infected several women with AIDS in Santander

“However, he continued with his normal life without warning his partners of his health situation,” reported the Prosecutor’s Office.
Article 370 of the Penal Code establishes that whoever spreads the human immunodeficiency virus, AIDS, or the hepatitis B virus, after being informed of being infected, will incur in prison from six to 12 years.
The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation has already identified two women who were infected with the AIDS virus by the patrol car.
This police agent was on duty in the Santander municipalities of Barbosa, Sabana de Torres, Albania, Rionegro and Bucaramanga.
In addition, he served in Bogotá, Santa Marta, and Montería, where he was captured by police officers.
X was transferred to the Corozal, Sucre prison.
Capturado Policía que contagió en Santander a varias mujeres con Sida
El patrullero es acusado de transmitir el virus del Sida a varias mujeres en Santander, siendo consciente de su estado de salud.
Según la Fiscalía General de la Nación, el patrullero de la Policía, X, fue capturado por el delito de propagación humana del virus de inmunodeficiencia humana, Sida.
La Fiscalía informó que un juez de control de garantías de Montería, Córdoba, atendiendo la solicitud de la Fiscalía, dictó medida de aseguramiento en centro carcelario en contra del agente de la Policía.
Según la investigación realizada por la Fiscalía Seccional de Bucaramanga, este patrullero conocía desde 2009 que era portador del virus del Sida.
“No obstante, continuó con su vida normal sin advertirle a sus parejas de su situación de salud”, informó la Fiscalía.
El artículo 370 del Código Penal establece que quien propague el virus de inmunodeficiencia humana, Sida, o el virus de la hepatitis B, después de haber sido informado de estar infectado, incurrirá en prisión de seis a 12 años.
La Fiscalía General de la Nación ya identificó a dos mujeres que fueron contagiadas con el virus del Sida por parte del patrullero.
Este agente de la Policía estuvo de servicio en los municipios santandereanos de Barbosa, Sabana de Torres, Albania, Rionegro y Bucaramanga.
Además, prestó servicio en Bogotá, Santa Marta y Montería, en donde fue capturado por agentes de la Policía.
X fue trasladado a la cárcel de Corozal, Sucre.
