In September, a criminal case against a 35-year-old woman was filed for intentional HIV infection in the Grodno region. From her actions, three men became infected with her. By the way, the woman has long been in the field of view of the authorities, she has already been brought to administrative responsibility for hooliganism, plus she is abusing alcohol.
In general, for almost three years, this is the fourth such criminal case in the Grodno region. True, one of the cases was terminated due to the death of a 28-year-old accused.
In just 10 months of this year, 50 new cases of HIV have been registered (last year only 33 cases in the same period). In total, as of November 1, 418 HIV infections were registered (imagine how many people do not know about their illness).
In August 2009, HIV was first detected in the Dyatlovsky district. Now 17 of the 18 districts of the region have been infected. Lida (223), Grodno (62) and Slonim (39) are leading in the number of registered HIV infections.
In the area for the entire accounting period, 33 people died of AIDS.
