Hamilton County case dismissed against man accused of criminal exposure to HIV
CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee (WDEF) – The criminal case against a Nashville man who was arrested in Chattanooga and charged with criminal exposure to HIV has been dropped.
TX, 39, was facing one count of criminal exposure to HIV but the case has been dismissed per the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office because of lack of evidence.
A 20-year old man told Chattanooga police that X admitted to having HIV after the two had sex.
Officers later arrested X at a downtown Chattanooga hotel.
According to the arrests affidavit, X told the complainant that he was taking medication and that the virus was not transferable.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – A Nashville man has been charged after an HIV scare in Chattanooga.
The incident began Saturday night at a nightclub called Allen Gold’s.
According to WDEF, a 20-year-old man went to the club to meet 39-year-old TX, of Nashville.
An affidavit said the man left with X and went back to a home with him where he allegedly performed oral sex on X.
The man told police X admitted to having HIV afterward. Reports stated X told the man he was on medication and the virus was not transferable.
The man contacted police two hours later after speaking with friends and becoming worried.
Officials said they took X into custody and charged him with one count of criminal exposure to HIV.
He posted a $15,000 bond and has been scheduled to appear in court June 30.
