St. Petersburg man did not inform his girlfriend about HIV, so that she did not leave him
The Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg will consider the criminal case against a 28-year-old resident of the city. He is charged with enough rare article of the Criminal Code – Part 2 of Art. 122 of the Criminal Code, which is transmission of HIV to another person by a person living with HIV, according to the city’s Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigators, the man knowing of his diagnosis during several months from September 2014 to February 2015 had an unprotected sex with his girlfriend. After that she, too, was infected with HIV. As her lover assured he was afraid to tell the woman the truth for fear that she would part with him.
‘The victim learned about the disease during a routine visit to the doctor, and then she turned to the appropriate application to law enforcement authorities,’ told the Press service of the supervisory authority.
During the investigation, the resident of St.Petersburg acknowledged fully his guild and repented.

По версии следствия, мужчина, прекрасно зная о диагнозе, в течение нескольких месяцев, с сентября 2014 года по февраль 2015 года, вступал в незащищенные половые контакты со своей девушкой. Та тоже заразилась ВИЧ-инфекцией. Как утверждал любовник, он боялся рассказывать девушке правду, так как боялся, что она с ним расстанется.
«Потерпевшая узнала о заболевании при плановом посещении врача, после чего она обратилась с соответствующим заявлением в правоохранительные органы», – рассказали в пресс-службе надзорного органа.
В ходе следствия петербуржец признал вину и раскаялся.
