Athens man with HIV claims alleged victim wanted to have unprotected sex

An HIV-positive Athens man who was arrested in November for having unprotected sex with a woman without telling her he was infected claimed that she knew about his condition prior to having sex, according to a search warrant affidavit filed this week in Clarke County Superior Court.
X told an Athens-Clarke County police detective that the alleged 32-year-old victim “persisted” that they have sex even after he told her that he was HIV positive, according to the affidavit that was filed on Tuesday.
